Course. It lists the steps that the analyst should take in performing a
"generic" GC-AED data analysis. The checklist is also available as a PDF
document that can be retrieved from our download

After RUN has
Finished, Enter "Data Analysis" View
Use "Load signal"
under the "File" menu to load desired signals(s)
Display and Scale AED
Signal Chromatograms
Use "Signal Options" under
the "Graphics" menu
Include: Tick-Marks, Baselines, Retention Times?
Ranges: AutoScale, Time Range?
Multi-Chromatogram: Separated, Each in Full Scale?
Evaluate Suppression and
Back Amount Setting
Use "Standard"
> "BackAmount" under "Graphics" Menu
Try "Auto-Back Amount" first for each element
Manually change user-supplied "BackAmount" value if needed
Integrate Peaks
Use
"Auto-Integrate" under the "Integrate" menu first
Optional: Customize Initial Events for each signal
Optional: Customize "Timed Events" for each signal
Confirm Element Identity
Use "Spectra" menu
options to generate spectrum
Does peak size change slowly with small changes in user-supplied
"BackAmount"?
Calibrate Peaks
Use existing calibration
table if appropriate
Create a new calibration table for new method or sample
Use "AED_CIC" Menu for CIC calibration and report
Generate Report
Use "Specify Report"
under "Report" menu to setup report
Use "Print" under "Report" menu to print standard report
