The GC-AED Pre-Flight Checklist is part of our GC-AED Training Course.  It is a list of instrumental conditions to check prior to initiating a run on the GC-AED.  The checklist is also available as a PDF document that can be retrieved from our download page.

Is the GC Setup and Ready?

• Check / replace septum
• Check / replace injection port liner
• Check / replace syringe
• Fill solvent wash vials above line

Is the AED Setup and Ready?

• Cooling water reservoir is full
• Blue fly-ash filter is not wet
• AED cavity pressure is approx 1.5 psi
• AED helium supply pressure is 30 psi
• Reagent gas pressures are OK
• Plasma is lit and "looks" right

Is the ChemStation Setup and Ready?

• On-line version of ChemStation is running and "Alive"
• AED spectrometer is not realigning
• AED spectral plot shows spectrum
• Spectrum at 181nm with O2 Reagent "looks" right
